SERVICE INFORMATION:


On some 1992 Trucks, Pathfinders, 240SXs and 300ZXs, customers may complain of an oil leak from the drive pinion oil seal area. The condition may be complained of as occurring at both the front and rear differential on the 4WD Truck and 4WD Pathfinder. The source of the leak may be the pinion oil seal itself, which has been countermeasured.


SERVICE PROCEDURE:

1. Verify drive pinion oil seal as source of leak.

2. Remove and replace (drive pinion oil seal with countermeasure parts listed in the Parts Information Chart.
