Combination Switch Base

It is not necessary to remove combination switch base to replace light switch.

1. On models with airbag, disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ARMING & DISARMING.
2. On models less airbag, disconnect battery ground cable.
3. On all models, remove steering wheel as outlined under STEERING SUSPENSION CHASSIS AND BODY COMPONENTS/STEERING/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES/STEERING WHEEL.
4. Remove steering column shell covers.
5. Disconnect switch electrical connections.

Combination Switch/Replacement:

6. Remove retaining screws and switch base.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
