The suspension system control unit incorporates a self-diagnosis function to locate and identify system malfunctions. Refer to Fig. 8 for control unit terminal voltage specifications.
1. Turn ignition switch on and immediately start engine.
2. Within ten seconds after engine starts, cycle select switch between Comfort and Sport at least five times, ending in the Comfort position.
3. Drive the vehicle forward 7-10 feet and turn steering wheel more than 90° to either side, stop vehicle, then release brake pedal.
4. Self-diagnosis mode will light up lamps from left to right on the select switch as shown in Fig. 9, to indicate any malfunctioning parts.
5. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS for correct diagnostic procedure and for final confirmation on shock absorber actuator.
