SENTRA FUEL PUMP RELAY CAUTION

SERVICE INFORMATION

When servicing a customer's vehicle with any fuel pump incident, exercise caution when diagnosing/checking at the fuel pump relay.





1. Note that the schematic on the fuel pump relay is rotated 90 degrees from the orientation of the fuel pump relay terminals in connector E19 (see diagram shown):

3. Exercise caution to ensure that the correct terminals are being probed at connector E19 during diagnosing/checking.

NOTE:
If terminals 2 or 3 (battery voltage) are connected to terminal 1, the ECM will become damaged, resulting in no fuel pump operation (no ground from ECM on pin # 104).
