Control Cable Adjustment
CONTROL CABLE ADJUSTMENTMove selector lever from the "P" range to the "1" range. You should be able to feel the detents in each range. If the detents cannot be felt or the pointer indicating the range is improperly aligned, the control cable needs adjustment.
1. Place selector lever in "P" position.
2. Loosen control cable lock nut and place manual shaft in "P" position.
3. Adjust using the long hole in control cable at transaxle end.
4. Tighten lock nut.
5. Move selector lever from "P" range to "1" range and make sure that selector lever can be moved smoothly and without any sliding noise.
6. Apply grease to contacting areas of selector lever and control cable. Install any part removed.
