Installation

Exploded View- Oil Pump:

CAUTION: Always replace with new oil seal and gasket.

- When installing oil pump, apply engine oil to the inner and outer gears.
- Be sure that O-ring is properly installed.

1. Attach oil pump assembly to front cover.
Torque plate bolts to:
4 - 5 N-m (2.9 - 3.6 ft.lb.)

Torque pick-up housing and pick-up tubing bolts to:
16 - 21 N-m (12 - 15 ft.lb.)

Front Cover Sealant:

2. Apply liquid gasket to front cover.

Front Cover Oil Seal:

3. Install front cover.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage cylinder head gasket.

CAUTION: Do not forget oil seal.

Torque 6mm bolts to: 7 - 8 N-m (5.1 - 5.8 ft.lb.)

Torque 8mm bolts to: 16 - 21 N-m (12 - 15 ft.lb.)

4. Install oil pan.
Torque bolts to: 7 - 8 N-m (5.1 - 5.8 ft.lb.)

5. Install engine mounting.

6. Install any parts removed.
