Installation

CAUTION: When lowering engine, be careful not to strike adjacent parts, especially accelerator wire casing, brake lines, and brake master cylinder.

WARNING: Be sure to hoist engine and transaxle in a safe manner.

1. Carefully lower engine into engine compartment and connect to transaxle.

Lift Engine With Slingers:

2. Raise engine and transaxle assembly with engine slingers.
3. Remove support stands.

Engine Mounts:

4. Reconnect or install all engine mountings, then lower engine and transaxle into place and finish securing.

Outer Component Parts:

5. Install the following parts:
- Front exhaust tube
- Drive shafts (In installing drive shaft, be careful not to damage grease seal of transaxle.)
- Alternator and adjusting bar
- A/C compressor
- Power steering pump
- Drive belts
6. Reconnect wires, harness, pipes and hoses.
7. Install any remaining parts that were removed.
8. Fill with coolant and check for leaks.
