Fuel Pump: Description and Operation

Fuel Pump:

The fuel pump is submerged in the fuel tank. The pump consists of a vane type pump, an electric motor, and a fuel damper. The damper also serves as a fuel check valve to allow the system to maintain pressure after shutdown. Voltage to the fuel pump is controlled by the ECU via the fuel pump relay.
