Installation- Drive plate runout
Drive Plate/Flywheel Runout: Less than 0.15 mm (0.0059 in.)
If this runout is out of allowance, replace drive plate and ring gear.
- When connecting torque converter to transaxle, measure distance "A" to be certain that they are correctly assembled.
Distance "A":
VG30 engine models: 19 mm (0.75 in) or more
VE30 engine models: 14 mm (0.55 in) or more
- Install converter to drive plate.
After converter is installed, rotate crankshaft several turns and check to be sure that transaxle rotates freely without binding.
VG30 engine models
- Tighten bolts securing transaxle.
- Reinstall any part removed.
VE30 engine models
1. Tighten bolts securing transaxle.
2. Reinstall any part removed.
3. Check fluid level in transaxle.
4. Move selector lever through all positions to be sure that transaxle operates correctly.
With parking brake applied, rotate engine at idling. Move selector lever through "N" to "D", to "2", to "1" and to "R". A slight shock should be felt by hand gripping selector each time transaxle is shifted.
5. Perform road test. Testing and Inspection
