- Disconnect drive shafts.
- Remove bolts securing torque converter to drive plate.
a. Remove those bolts by turning crankshaft.
b. Immediately after transaxle is disconnected, inscribe matching marks on torque converter and drive plate so that they may be reinstalled in their original positions.

- Plug up openings such as oil charging pipe, etc.
