Electrical Components Inspections
INSPECTION OF A/T CONTROL UNIT- Measure voltage between each terminal and terminal (15) or (44) by following "A/T CONTROL UNIT INSPECTION TABLE".
- Pin connector terminal layout.

Terminal No: 5 - 18:

OVERDRIVE SWITCH
- Check continuity between two terminals.
A/T MODE SWITCH
- Check continuity between A/T mode switch terminal.
INHIBITOR SWITCH
1. Check continuity between terminals (1) and (2) and between terminals (3) and (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9) while moving selector lever through each position.
2. It N.G., check again with control cable disconnected from manual shaft of A/T assembly. - Refer to step 1.
3. If O.K. on step 2, adjust control cable. - Refer to "ON-VEHICLE SERVICE". Service and Repair
4. If N.G. on step 2, remove inhibitor switch from A/T and check continuity of inhibitor switch terminal. - Refer to step 1.
5. If O.K. on step 4, adjust inhibitor switch. - Refer to "ON- VEHICLE SERVICE". Service and Repair
6. If N.G. on step 4, replace inhibitor switch.
REVOLUTION SENSOR
- For removal and installation, refer to "ON-VEHICLE SERVICE". Service and Repair
- Check resistance between terminals (1), (2) and (3)
SOLENOIDS AND FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR
- For removal and installation, refer to "ON-VEHICLE SERVICE". Service and Repair
Solenoids:
- Check resistance between two terminals.
Fluid temperature sensor
Check resistance between terminals (6) and (7) while changing temperature as shown at left.
DROPPING RESISTOR
- Check resistance between two terminals.
Resistance: 11.2 - 12.8 ohm
