Self-Diagnosis Step 5 - Temperature Detection Checks:
PURPOSE
This step checks and verifies the temperature detected by all sensors.
Self-Diagnosis Procedure For Temperature Sensor Checks:
OPERATION
When this test starts, the number 5 will display in the LED panel.
When the DEF switch is pressed one time, the display shows the temperature detected by the ambient sensor.
When the DEF switch is pressed a second time, the display shows the temperature detected by the in-vehicle sensor.
When the DEF switch is pressed a third time, the display shows the temperature detected by the intake sensor.
When the DEF switch is pressed a fourth time, the display returns to the original "5".
VERIFY
If the temperature on the display varies greatly from the actual temp., check the sensor circuit first and then the sensor.
