Intake Air Plenum: Service and Repair

Intake Manifold And Collector:

Refer to illustration for removal and replacement procedure. Mark all electrical connectors for reference during installation. Thoroughly clean all sealing surfaces and replace all gaskets.

Intake Manifold Torque Sequence:

Intake Collector Torque Sequence:

Tighten intake manifold and collector to 12 - 15 ft-lb (16 - 20 Nm) using the torque sequence illustrated.

Throttle Chamber Torque Sequence:

Torque throttle chamber fasteners in sequence using the following torque:
Step 1 6.5 - 8 ft-lb (9 - 11 Nm)
Step 2 13 - 16 ft-lb (18 - 22 Nm)
