Rear Wheel
Fig. 1 Measuring Toe-in:
Rear toe is measurement of rear wheels in relation to vehicle centerline, Fig. 1. leading edge of each rear wheel should toe-in slightly toward vehicle centerline to ensure proper vehicle tracking. Rear toe should be inspected using suitable alignment gauges, following manufacturer's instructions. When checking or adjusting rear toe, always ensure amount that left and right wheels toe-in is as equal as possible.
Fig. 5 Rear Toe-in Adjustment.:
1. Measure total toe-in for each wheel following equipment manufacturer's instructions.
2. Loosen locknuts and adjust parallel link length to obtain specified toe-in, noting following:
a. Adjust left and right rear parallel links to same length, Fig. 5.
b. Standard length is 1.97-2.17 inches. If toe-in cannot be properly adjusted with links at equal lengths, check rear suspension for damage or wear, and repair as needed.
3. After adjustment, hold link with suitable wrench to prevent bushing from twisting, then torque locknuts to 58-72 ft. lbs.
