Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor is used to determine if the vehicle is at operating temperature. This information is used to adjust the transmission shift points during the warm up period.

DESCRIPTION
As transmission fluid temperature increases, the resistance of the sensor is lowered.
