SERVICE INFORMATION

The 1992 - 1994 Maxima with the VG30E engine has both a CONSULT connector and a "5 mode CHECKER BOX" connector. CONSULT will access the Air Bag system and the Automatic Transmission on VG30E equipped Maxima's, but not the engine. This is a normal condition. Use the checker box to pull codes from the ECM and CONSULT to access the Air Bag or Automatic Transmission. On Maxima's with the VE30DE engine CONSULT can be used to access all systems.
