Variable Induction Control Actuator: Description and Operation

Power Valve Input/Output Signal Line:

PURPOSE
The Power Valve Actuator Operates the Power Valve to provide a variable length of intake run.

Power Valve Diagram System "ON":

OPERATION
The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls the Power Valve Solenoid which allows manifold vacuum to act upon the Power Valve Actuators diaphram, to open or close the power valve.

Power Valve Diagram System "OFF":

A surge tank and one-way valve is provided to store vacuum so that the valve will remain closed during low manifold vacuum conditions.
