Variable Induction Control Valve: Testing and Inspection

Power Valve:

1. Remove upper intake manifold assembly.
2. Connect vacuum pump to power valve actuator.
3. Slowly apply vacuum to power valve actuator, actuator should begin to open at 4 - 7 in.Hg (13 - 27 kPa).
4. Valve should fully open as vacuum is increased.
5. If actuator does not hold vacuum replace actuator.
6. If actuator Holds Vacuum and the valve does not open, Check for sticking and clean as necessary.
7. Repeat step 3. If Valve still does not open, replace upper intake manifold assembly
