Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Power Transistor:

1. Disconnect Power Transistor harness connector.
2. Check Power Transistor continuity between terminals.
Resistance Between Terminals:
a (+ lead) & b (- lead) continuity
a (- lead) & b (+ lead) no continuity
a (+ lead) & c (- lead) continuity
a (- lead) & c (+ lead) no continuity

NOTE: You MUST use a high quality (10 megohm impedance or more) DVOM for these tests. Be sure to follow the positive and negative lead instructions exactly as given.
