Throttle Sensor Adjustment:

Throttle Position Sensor
1. Start the engine and warm to operating temperature.
2. Using a volt meter, check the output voltage between terminals as shown.
^ If the voltage is between 0.45 - 0.55 Volts DC at idle, the sensor is adjusted properly.
^ If the voltage is not between 0.45 - 0.55 Volts DC at idle, proceed to step 3.
3. Loosen the throttle sensor securing screws.
4. Rotate the sensor until a voltage of 0.45 - 0.55 Volts DC is measured between the terminals at idle.
5. Tighten the screws and disconnect the harness connector for a few seconds, then reconnect it.

Throttle Position Switch Connector:

Closed Throttle Position Switch
1. Loosen the throttle position sensor screws.
2. Connect sensor and switch electrical connectors.
3. Start and warm the engine to operating temperature.
4. Disconnect closed throttle position switch electrical connector.
5. Check closed throttle position switch OFF to ON engine speed with circuit tester, closing throttle valve manually.
^ Closed throttle position switch continuity OFF to ON engine speed. A/T: Engine speed in "N" position 1,050 ± 150 rpm.
