Diagnostic Trouble Code Confirmation Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. Start engine and warm it up sufficiently.
2. Perform test drive continuously in the following recommended condition.

Testing time:
(A/T models) at least 5 seconds
(M/T models) at least 10 seconds

Engine speed:
(A/T models) 2,100-2,800 rpm
(M/T models) 1,700-2,800 rpm

Intake manifold vacuum:
(A/T models) -46.7 to -20.0 kPa
(-350 to -150 mmHg, -13.78 to -5.91 inHg)
(M/T models) -46.7 to -33.3 kPa
(-350 to -250 mmHg, -13.78 to -9.84 inHg)

Gear position:
Suitable position (except "N" or "P" position)

3. Stop the vehicle, turn ignition switch "OFF", wait for at least 3 seconds and then "ON".
4. Perform "Diagnostic Test Mode II" (Self-diagnostic results) with Engine Control Module (ECM).
Even though Diagnostic Trouble Code is not detected, perform the above test drive at least one more time.
