Power is supplied at all times:^ to ignition switch terminal [1]
^ through 3O A fusible link (letter [i] ,located in the fusible link and fuse box)
For models with theft warning system
With the ignition switch in the ON or START position, power is supplied:
^ Through 10 A fuse (No.[21] ,located in the fuse block [HEC])
^ to theft warning relay terminal [1]
With the ignition switch in the START position, power is supplied:
^ to theft warning relay terminal [3]
^ through theft warning relay terminal [4]
^ to terminal [1] of the starter motor windings.
If the theft warning system is triggered, terminal [2] of the theft warning relay is grounded and power to the starter is interrupted.
For models without theft warning system
Power is supplied at all times:
^ to ignition switch terminal [1]
^ through 3OA fusible link (letter [i] ,located in the fusible link and fuse box)
With the ignition switch in the START position, power is supplied:
^ from ignition switch terminal [5]
^ directly to terminal [1] of the starter motor windings.
The starter motor plunger closes and provides a closed circuit between the battery and the starter motor. The starter motor is grounded to the engine block. With power and ground supplied, cranking occurs and the engine starts.
