SERVICE INFORMATION

This is to make clear the function of the vehicle security system (VSS) lamp on the dash of the 1995 Sentra GLE and 200SX SER. When the theft warning system is activated (key is removed, doors, hood and trunk closed, and the doors locked) the lamp will come on for 30 seconds. This is the Armed Delay Mode. After 30 seconds the lamp will blink slowly; 0.2 seconds ON and 2.4 seconds OFF. This is normal operation and indicates the system is activated. The blink rate will continue until the system is deactivated (a door or the trunk is unlocked).

The service manual will be amended in reference to this bulletin.
