Camshaft Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
1. Start engine
2. Check voltage between camshaft position sensor terminals "3", "4" and ground with AC range.




If NG, replace distributor assembly with camshaft position sensor.




3. Remove distributor cap. Visually check signal plate for damage or dust.

NOTE: After this inspection, diagnostic trouble code No. 11 might be displayed with camshaft position sensor functioning properly. Erase the stored memory.
