1995 MAXIMA AND 240SX REAR O2 SENSOR TORQUE PRECAUTION
APPLIED MODEL:
1995 (A32) Maxima
1995 (S14) 240SX
SERVICE INFORMATION
Some vehicles may experience a check engine light on with a code for the rear O2 sensor. This might have been caused by damage to the rear O2 sensor from over tightening. If your diagnosis confirms that the rear O2 sensor needs to be replaced, do not over torque the replacement rear O2 sensor.
Excessive torque will internally damage the sensor causing it not to function or to have a reduced service life.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
The correct torque for the (S14) 240SX and (A32) Maxima rear O2 sensors is 13-17, (1.8-2.4), ft.lb., (Kg-m).
CAUTION:
DO NOT OVER TORQUE
The recommended installation tool is a 17 mm O2 sensor socket, such as a Kent Moore P/N: J36470.
