1995 MAXIMA AND 24OSX TAIL PIPE FINISHER INSTALLATION

SERVICE INFORMATION

To ease installation and prevent damage to the tail pipe finisher on 1995 Maximas and 24OSXs, use the special tool described below.

SERVICE PROCEDURE




An installation tool can be constructed from the following items available at your local hardware store:

1) Galvanized nipple - 1 in. diameter X 8 in. long
2) Galvanized cap - 1 in.
3) Female adapter - 1 in. S x T (Slip X Thread) PVC
4) Slip cap 1-1/2 in. PVC
5) Bushing 1-1/4 X 1-1/2 in. PVC




To install the tail pipe finisher, insert the big end of the special tool against the inner diameter of the tail pipe finisher, as shown below and hit the metal capped end with a rubber hammer.

Caution:
The special tool must not be used to drive the outer end of the finisher onto the tail pipe.
