Owner Letter

Dear Nissan Owner:

The State of California requires that vehicles located in certain parts of the state undergo a "Smog Check" every two years.

In order to ensure that the smog check is done quickly on your car, Nissan has prepared an underhood label with special instructions for the test station. Enclosed is the label which should be applied to the underhood of your vehicle.

The label should be placed directly over the existing emissions label. Be sure that you clean the old label of any wax, grease, or oil before applying the new label. If you prefer to do so, you may take your car to your Nissan dealer who will apply the new label at no charge to you.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but we want to ensure that the correct procedure is used to check your Nissan's emission control system so that it does not needlessly fail the test.
