PURPOSE
Provides vehicle speed information to the Engine Control Module (ECM).

OPERATION
The vehicle speed sensor, is a magnetic reed switch that rotates in conjunction with the transmission output shaft. It generates an ON/Off pulse signal which is sent to the ECM. The ECM converts the Pulse signal into vehicle speed.
