With CONSULT

OVERALL FUNCTION CHECK
Instead of performing Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) DETECTING CONDITION, the following method can be used for checking the front heated oxygen sensor function. (The "NG" of the OVERALL FUNCTION CHECK means the same as the DTC detection.)
1) Start engine and warm it up sufficiently.
2) Select "MANU TRIG" and "HI SPEED" in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT, and select "FR O2 SEN-B1" and "FR O2 MNTR-B1".
3) Touch "RECORD" on CONSULT screen with engine speed held at 2,000 rpm constant under no load.




4) Make sure of the following:
^ "FR O2 MNTR-B1" in "DATA MONITOR" mode indicates "RICH" and "LEAN" periodically more than 5 times for 10 seconds.
^ The maximum voltage of "FR O2 SEN-B1" is over 0.6 volts at least one time.
^ The minimum voltage of "FR O2 SEN-B1" is below 0.35 volts at least one time.
