SERVICE INFORMATION

During "stop and go" type driving or extended idling in ambient temperatures of 100 deg.F or higher, the A/C system may turn off the A/C compressor. When this occurs, hot air may be discharged through the A/C vents even though the A/C switch is in the "ON" position. Once the vehicle is driven at constant speeds, the A/C system will turn the compressor on and the A/C system will operate normally.

A new dual-pressure switch along with condenser and radiator seals have been developed to resolve this incident.
