SERVICE INFORMATION

Follow the procedure in this bulletin if a 1995-96 FED Sentra or 200SX with A/T or M/T and a GA16DE engine exhibits a MIL "on" and DTC P0400 (EGR system) stored in the engine control module (ECM).

Countermeasure front exhaust tubes and EGR temperature sensors are available to reduce this incident.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Use the Trouble Diagnosis for DTC P0400 in the service manual (1995: EC-356; 1996: EC-377) to verify the operation of the EGR system.








2. If the EGR system is operating correctly, replace the ECM (see Figure 1), the front exhaust tube (see Figure 2) and the EGR temperature sensor (see Figure 3 ). See the parts table.
