SERVICE INFORMATION

If a 1996-97 240SX has a MIL "ON" and one or more of the DTCs listed below are stored in self diagnosis, water contamination within the evaporative emission system may be the cause of this condition.

^ P0440 (EVAP Small Leak)

^ P0443 (EVAP Purge Control Valve & Solenoid Valve)

^ P0446 ([1][2]EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve)

^ P0450 (EVAP Pressure Sensor)

^ P1445 (EVAP Purge Volume Control Valve)

To correct this condition, install a water separator kit on the evaporative emission system and determine and repair the cause of the stored DTC(s).
