Air Bag Control Module: Service and Repair

1. Disarm SRS as described under Air Bag Arming and Disarming.
2. Disconnect driver and passenger air bag module connectors.
3. Remove rear seat assembly.
4. Remove diagnosis sensor unit cover.
5. Disconnect diagnosis sensor unit connector, Fig. 34.
6. Remove bolt, then use T50 Torx bit to remove special bolts and control unit.
7. Reverse procedure to install. During installation, arrow marking on diagnosis sensor unit must face toward front of vehicle. Use new coated bolts when installing diagnosis sensor unit.
