Acme Procedure
Bumper Cover Preparation PUR or PP1. Wash and rinse with detergent and water.
2. Wipe with AQUA-KLIX Low VOC Cleaner 87.
3. Scuff sand bumper cover with gray nylon scuff pad.
4. To ensure all mold release agent is removed, the bumper can be heated at 140° F for 45 minutes. Allow bumper to cool completely before cleaning
5. Re-wipe with AQUA-KLIX Low VOC Cleaner 87.
Coating PUR (polyurethane) bumper covers
6. Apply LOXON H Acrylic Urethane Sealer 156 or 159 with MULTI-FLEX Urethane Flexible Additive 68 according to label directions.
7.a. Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures
1. Apply ProBase 10 Basecoat Color.
2. Apply ProBase 10 Clearcoat over ProBase 10 Basecoat using MULTI-FLEX Urethane Hexible Additive 68 according to label directions.
7.b. NON Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures
Apply ProSingle Acrylic Urethane with MULTI-FLEX Urethane Flexible Additive 68 according to label directions.
Coating PP (polypropylene) bumper covers
6. Apply one coat of Plastic Primer 525 according to label directions.
7. Apply LOXON II Acrylic Urethane Sealer 156 or 159 with MULTI-FLEX Urethane Flexible Additive 68 according to label directions.
8.a. Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures
1. Apply ProBase 10 Basecoat Color.
2. Apply ProBase 10 Clearcoat over ProBase 10 Basecoat using MULTI-FLEX Urethane Flexible Additive 68 according to label directions.
8.b. Non Basecoat/Clearcoat Procedures
Apply ProSingle Acrylic Urethane with MULTI-FLEX Urethane Flexible Additive 68 according to label directions.
