Power is supplied at all times^ to ignition switch terminal (1)
^ through 3O A fusible link (letter (d) located in the fusible link holder).
With the ignition switch in the ON or START position power is supplied
^ through terminal (3) of the ignition switch
^ to theft warning relay terminal (1), and
^ through 10 A fuse [No. (19) located in the fuse block (J/B)]
^ to inhibitor switch terminal (1) with the selector lever in the P or N position
^ through inhibitor switch terminal (2)
^ to starter relay terminal (1).
Also with the ignition switch in the START position power is supplied
^ from ignition switch terminal (4)
^ to starter relay terminal (2)
If the theft warning system is not triggered ground is supplied
^ to starter relay terminal (2)
^ through theft warning relay terminal (3)
^ to theft warning relay terminal (4)
^ through body grounds (E13) and (E22).
The starter relay is energized and power is supplied
^ from ignition switch terminal (4)
^ to terminal (1) of the starter motor windings
^ through starter relay terminals (3) and (5)
The starter motor plunger closes and provides a closed circuit between the battery and the starter motor. The
starter motor is grounded to the cylinder block. With power and ground supplied the starter motor operates.
If the theft warning system is triggered, terminal (2) of the theft warning relay is grounded and power to the
starter motor is interrupted.
