Power Locks: Description and Operation

Power is supplied at all times
^ through 25 A fusible link (Letter (g) ,located in the fusible link and fuse box)
^ to circuit breaker terminal (1).
^ through circuit breaker terminal (2)
^ to door lock control unit terminal (1).
Power is supplied at all times
^ through 10 A fuse (No. (20) ,located in the fuse block)
^ to key switch terminal (1).
Ground is supplied
^ to door lock control unit terminal (5)
^ through body grounds (M51), (M76) and (M77).

INPUT
Power is supplied to door lock control unit terminal (7) through key switch terminal (2) when ignition key is inserted in the key switch.
Ground is supplied
^ to door lock control unit terminal (4) or (12)
^ from front LH or RH door switch terminal (1)
^ through front LH or RH door switch terminal (3) when door switch is in OPEN position and
^ through body grounds (B6) and (B14).
Ground is supplied
^ to door lock control unit terminal (14)
^ from front LH or RH door key cylinder switch terminal (1) (Without theft warning system) or (2) (With theft warning system)
^ through front LH or RH door key cylinder switch terminal (2) (Without theft warning system) or (4) (With theft warning system) when door key cylinder is BETWEEN FULL STROKE AND N position and
^ through body grounds (M51), (M76) and (M77).
Ground is supplied
^ to door lock control unit terminal (9) or (10)
^ from door unlock sensor (in the front LH or RH door lock actuator) terminal (2) when door lock is in UNLOCKED position
^ through door unlock sensor (in the front LH or RH door lock actuator) terminal (1)
^ through body grounds (M51), (M76) and (M77).
Ground is supplied
^ to door lock control unit terminal (15) or (16)
^ from main power window and door lock switch terminal (15) or (11)
^ through main power window and door lock switch terminal (10)
^ through body grounds (M51), (M76) and (M77).

OUTPUT
Unlock
Power is supplied
^ from door lock control unit terminal (3)
^ to all door actuator terminals (4).
Ground is supplied
^ from door lock control unit terminal (2)
^ to all door actuator terminals (3).
With power and ground supplied, the door actuators move to the unlocked position.

Lock
Power is supplied
^ from door lock control unit terminal (2)
^ to all door actuator terminals (3).
Ground is supplied
^ from door lock control unit terminal (3)
^ to all door actuator terminals (4).
With power and ground supplied, the door actuators move to the locked position.
