End Play

1. Install the camshaft into the cylinder head. Refer to Timing Chain. Service and Repair
2. Measure the camshaft end play. The standard value for camshaft end play is 0.070 - 0.148 mm (0.0028 - 0.0058 inch).
3. The limit is 0.20 mm (0.0079 inch).
3. If end play exceeds the limit, replace camshaft and remeasure camshaft end play.
4. If end play still exceeds the limit after replacing camshaft, replace cylinder head.
