Diagnostic Strategies

To repair the SRS,perform the following steps.
When SRS is activated in a collision:
- Replace the diagnosis sensor unit.
- Remove the air bag modules.
- Check the SRS components using the table shown below:
- Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage (dents, cracks,deformation).
- Conduct self-diagnosis. Refer to Diagnostic Procedure 1.

- Ensure the remainder of the SRS is operating properly.
- Install new air bag modules.
- Conduct self-diagnosis again.

When SRS is not activated in a collision:





- Check the SRS components using the table above.
- Replace any SRS components showing visible signs of damage (dents, cracks,deformation).
- Conduct self-diagnosis using CONSULT and "AIR BAG" warning lamp.
