SERVICE INFORMATION

If an applied vehicle has a MIL "ON" and DTC P0100 (mass air flow sensor) stored in the Self Diagnostic results, a countermeasure engine control module may resolve this incident. Use the following procedure to diagnose and resolve this incident.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Confirm the following:

^ The Freeze Frame Data shows engine speed was below 700 rpm.

^ The technician cannot determine the cause of the incident after performing the diagnosis procedure as specified in the applicable section of the appropriate service manual.

2. Determine the ECM part number by using the "CONSULT Freeze Frame Data" function or "CONSULT ECM Part Number" function to make sure the ECM part number is one of the following:

Altima: 23710-5E800, 23710-5E805, 23710-5E810 or 23710-5E815





Altima ECM Location

240SX: 23710-81F00, 23710-81F10 or 23710-81F20.





240SX ECM Location

Sentra/200SX: 23710-3M200, 23710-3M202, 23710-3M210, 23710-3M212, 23710-3M300, 23710-3M302, 23710-3M310 or 23710-3M312.





Sentra/200SX ECM Location

3. If the above conditions are met, replace the ECM with the applicable part from the table below or its latest updated part number.
