NOTE:
Be careful not to drop the manual valve shaft, the servo release accumulator return spring or the lip seals. Also be careful not to damage the control valve assembly sealing gasket.

Stall Test Procedure

1. Check transaxle and engine fluid levels. Add fluid if necessary.

2. Drive vehicle for approximately 10 minutes or until engine oil and ATF reach operating temperature. ATF operating temperature is 50 - 80° C (122 - 176° F).

3. Set parking brake and block wheels.

WARNING:
Make sure there is nobody or nothing in front of the vehicle when performing the following steps.

4. Start engine, apply foot brake, and place selector lever in "D" position.

5. Gradually accelerate to wide-open throttle while applying the foot brake.

6. Quickly note the maximum engine RPM on the vehicle's tachometer and immediately release the throttle.

CAUTION:
During the test, never hold the throttle wide open for more than 5 seconds. Also, if a second test needs to be performed, let the engine idle for 1 minute before starting the second test.
