Cylinder Head Torque Values & Sequence

Torque Sequence:

Tighten cylinder head bolt Nos. 1 - 10, in numerical order, using the following procedure:
a. Tighten bolts to 29.4 Nm (21.69 ft. lbs.).
b. Tighten bolts to 58.8 Nm (43.37 ft. lbs.).
c. Loosen bolts completely.
d. Tighten bolts to 29.4 Nm (21.69 ft. lbs.).
e. Turn bolts 50 to 55 degrees clockwise. If angle wrench is not available, tighten bolts to 53.9 to 63.7 Nm (39.76 to 46.99 ft. lbs.).
Tighten cylinder head bolt Nos. 11 - 15, in numerical order, to 6.3 to 8.3 Nm (55.8 to 73.5 inch lbs.).

Torque Sequence:

Tighten camshaft bracket bolts using the following procedure:
a. Set camshafts and camshaft brackets.
b. Tighten bolt Nos. 11 - 15, then 1 - 10 to 2.0 Nm (17.7 inch lbs.).
c. Tighten bolt Nos. 1 - 15 to 5.9 Nm (52.2 inch lbs.).
d. Tighten bolt Nos. 1 - 14 to 9.0 - 11.8 Nm (6.7 - 8.7 ft. lbs.).
e. Tighten bolt No. 15 to 6.3 - 8.3 Nm (55.8 - 73.5 inch lbs.).
