O-Ring May Not Seal

The O-ring between the timing cover and block may not seal, allowing oil to leak out of the engine. This incident can be identified by observing the area of the O-ring at the mating surface of the timing cover and cylinder block while the engine is running. The following procedure is to be used when this incident occurs. It is not necessary to remove the cylinder head as described in the Flat Rate Manual.
