Inspecting SRS Intermittent Problem By Using CONSULT - Diagnosis Mode

Data Link Connector:

1. Turn ignition switch "OFF".
2. Connect "CONSULT" to Data link connector.

Diagnostic Procedure 8 (With Consult):

3. Turn ignition switch "ON".
4. Touch "START".

Diagnostic Procedure 8 (With Consult):

5. Touch "AIRBAG".

Diagnostic Procedure 8 (With Consult):

6. Touch "SELF-DIAG (PAST]".

Diagnostic Procedure 8 (With Consult):

7. If diagnostic codes are displayed on "SELF-DIAG [PAST]", go to step 10.

Diagnostic Procedure 8 (With Consult):

If no self-diagnostic failure is detected on "SELF-DIAG [PAST]", touch "BACK" and go back to "SELECT DIAG MODE".

Diagnostic Procedure 8 (With Consult):

8. Touch "TROUBLE DIAG RECORD".

NOTE: With TROUBLE DIAG RECORD, diagnosis results previously erased by a reset operation can be displayed.

Diagnostic Procedure 8 (With Consult):

9. Diagnostic code is displayed on "TROUBLE DIAG RECORD".
10. Touch "PRINT".
11. Compare diagnostic codes to the INTERMITTENT PROBLEM DIAGNOSTIC CODE CHART. Trouble Code Description and Repairs
12. Touch "BACK" key of CONSULT until SELECT SYSTEM appears, then turn off CONSULT.
13. Turn ignition switch "OFF", then disconnect CONSULT and both battery cables.
14. Repair the system as outlined by the "Repair order" in INTERMITTENT PROBLEM DIAGNOSTIC CODE CHART, that corresponds to the problem code. For replacement procedure of component parts. Trouble Code Description and Repairs
15. Go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 4 Procedure 4for final checking.
