Wiper and Washer Systems: Testing and Inspection
CONSULTConsult Inspection Procedure
1. Turn ignition switch "OFF".
2. Connect "CONSULT" to the data link connector.
3. Turn ignition switch "ON".
4. Touch "START".
5. Touch "IVMS".
6. Touch "WIPER".
^ DATA MONITOR and ACTIVE TEST are available for the wiper and washer.
Trouble Diagnosis

NOTE:
^ When Local Control Units (LCU) connectors are disconnected for more than 1 minute such as during trouble diagnoses, the "disconnected" data will be memorized by the BCM. Therefore, after reconnecting the LCU connectors, erase the memory.
^ To erase the memory, perform the procedure below. Erase the memory with turn the ignition switch to "OFF" position and remove 7.5 A fuse (No. (56), located in the fuse and fusible link box).
Diagnostic Procedure 1
SYMPTOM: Intermittent wiper does not operate.
Diagnostic Procedure 2
SYMPTOM: Intermittent time of wiper can not be adjusted.
Diagnostic Procedure 3
SYMPTOM: Wiper and washer activate individually but no in combination.
