Power Locks: Description and Operation

Power is supplied at all times:
- through 40 A fusible link (Letter [d], located in the fuse and fusible link box)
- to circuit breaker -1 terminal (1)
- through circuit breaker -1 terminal (2)
- to smart entrance control unit terminal (1) (with theft warning system), (6) (without theft warning system).
Power is supplied at all times:
- through 10 A fuse [No. (24), located in the fuse block (J/B)]
- to key switch terminal (2).
Ground is supplied:
- to smart entrance control unit terminal (10) (with theft warning system), (1) (without theft warning system).
- through body grounds (M2) and (M61).

INPUT
Power is supplied through key switch terminal (1) to smart entrance control unit terminal (24) (with theft warning system), (12) (without theft warning system) when the ignition key is inserted in the key switch. Ground is supplied:
- to smart entrance control unit terminal (15) or (16) (with theft warning system), (26) or (26) (without theft warning system).
- through door switch terminal (1) when door is open.
Ground is supplied (Models with theft warning system):
- to smart entrance control unit terminal (31)
- from front LH door key cylinder switch terminal (3) or RH door key cylinder switch terminal (1)
- through front LH or RH door key cylinder switch terminal (2) when door key cylinder is BETWEEN FULL STROKE AND N (to unlock position)
- through body grounds (M2) and (M61).
Ground is supplied (Models with theft warning system):
- to smart entrance control unit terminal (30)
- from front LH door key cylinder switch terminal (1) or RH door key cylinder switch terminal (3).
- through front LH or RH door key cylinder switch terminal (2) when door key cylinder is BETWEEN FULL STROKE AND N (to lock position)
- through body grounds (M2) and (M61).
Ground is supplied:
- to smart entrance control unit terminal (18) or (19) (with theft warning system), (24) or (15) without theft warning system).
- from main power window and door lock/unlock switch terminal (15) or (11)
- through main power window and door lock/unlock switch terminal (10) (when switch is pressed in lock or unlock position)
- through body grounds (M2) and (M61).
Ground is supplied:
- to smart entrance control unit terminal (18) or (19) (with theft warning system), (24) or (15) (without theft warning system).
- from door lock/unlock switch RH terminal (6) or (3)
- through door lock/unlock switch RH terminal (4) (when switch is pressed in lock or unlock position)
- through body grounds (M2) and (M61).

OUTPUT

Unlock
Power is supplied:
- from smart entrance control unit terminal (3) (with theft warning system) or terminal (8) (without theft warning system)
- to front LH door lock actuator terminal (1).
Power is supplied:
- from smart entrance control unit terminal (2)
- to front RH door lock actuator or rear door lock actuator terminals (1).
Ground is supplied:
- from smart entrance control unit terminal (4) (with theft warning system), (3) (without theft warning system).
- to all door actuator terminals (3).
With power and ground supplied, the door actuators move to the unlocked position.

Lock
Power is supplied:
- from smart entrance control unit terminal (4) (with theft warning system), (3) (without theft warning system).
- to all door actuator terminals (3).
Ground is supplied:
- from smart entrance control unit terminal (3) (with theft warning system) or terminal (8) (without theft warning system)
- to front LH door lock actuator terminal (1).
Ground is supplied:
- from smart entrance control unit terminal (2)
- to RH door lock actuator or rear door lock actuator terminals (1).
With power and ground supplied, the door actuators move to the locked position.





OPERATION
- The lock and unlock switch (LH and RH) on door trim can lock and unlock all doors.
- With the door key inserted in the key cylinder on front LH or RH door, turning it to LOCK will lock all doors; turning it to UNLOCK once unlocks the corresponding door; turning it to UNLOCK again within 5 seconds after the first unlock operation unlocks all of the other doors (signal from front door key cylinder switch) (Models with theft warning system).
However, if the ignition key is in the ignition key cylinder and one or more of the doors are open, setting the lock and unlock switch, or the door key to LOCK locks the doors once but then immediately unlocks them (combination signals from key switch, door switches). - (KEY REMINDER DOOR SYSTEM)
