SERVICE INFORMATION

If the headliner sags at the right hand or left hand side of the sunroof opening of an applied 2000 Maxima, the cause of this condition may be one of the following:

- The hook and loop fasteners that attach the headliner to the roof panel may not be adhering to each other properly.

or

- The adhesive backing on the roof panel (upper) fasteners may not be adhering to the roof panel properly.

In either case, larger replacement snap-on type upper fasteners (clips) are available to correct this condition, if it should occur. A service procedure for attaching the two upper fasteners on the right hand and/or left hand side of the sunroof railing is provided in this bulletin.

Use the following procedure to verify the condition exists and replace the two upper fasteners on the affected side(s) of the sunroof railing with two new snap-on type fasteners to correct the condition.
