The front window glass run rubber may "deform (push out) from the molded position.

NOTE:
^ The incident is likely to happen after moving the window up or down.

^ The incident can occur on either front door.

ACTION:

Install 1/16 in.. /1.6 mm thick flat washers between the door inner panel and regulator assembly to shim the bottom of the window outboard.

The purpose of "ACTIONS" (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove the front door panel finisher.

^ Go to the Service Manual, section "EI" (Exterior & Interior) for door panel removal instructions.





2. Loosen all four window regulator mounting bolts.

3. Remove the 2 lower mounting bolts only.





4. Install a 1/16 in./1.6 mm flat washer between the regulator and door inner panel (lower bolts only).

^ This will "shim" the bottom of the glass regulator assembly outboard.

5. Re-install the bolt, with the new washer in place. Leave it finger-tight for now.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the other lower mounting bolt.

7. Tighten all regulator mounting bolts.

8. Check window operation and confirm that the window glass run rubber seal is no longer pushed out.

9. Re-install door panel finisher.
