4. In N Position, Vehicle Moves

SYMPTOM: Vehicle moves forward or backward when selecting N position.

1. CHECK PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION (PNP) SWITCH CIRCUIT
With CONSULT-II





Does "TCM INPUT SIGNALS" in "DATA MONITOR" show damage to park/neutral position (PNP) switch circuit?

Without CONSULT II
Does self-diagnosis show damage to park/neutral position (PNP) switch circuit? P0705
Yes or No
Yes >>Check park/neutral position (PNP) switch circuit.
No >>GO TO 2.

2. CHECK CONTROL LINKAGE
Check control cable.
OK or NG
OK >>GO TO 4.
NG >>GO TO 3.

3. ADJUST CONTROL CABLE





Adjust control cable. Shift Linkage

4. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL





Check A/T fluid level again.
OK or NG
OK >>GO TO 5.
NG >>Refill ATF.

5. CHECK A/T FLUID CONDITION
1. Remove oil pan.





2. Check A/T fluid condition.
OK or NG
OK >>GO TO 7.
NG >>GO TO 6

6. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
1. Disassemble A/T.
2. Check the following items:
- Forward clutch assembly
- Overrun clutch assembly
- Reverse clutch assembly
OK or NG
OK >>GO TO 7.
NG >>Repair or replace damaged parts.

7. CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again.
OK or NG
OK >>INSPECTION END
NG >>GO TO 8.

8. CHECK TCM INSPECTION
1. Perform TCM input/output signal inspection.
2. If NG, recheck TCM pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
OK or NG
OK >>INSPECTION END
NG >>Repair or replace damaged parts.
