IF YOU CONFIRM

There is a ticking, clicking, thumping, humming, flutter, buzz, or knocking noise heard in the passenger compartment. The noise is coming from the engine compartment and usually occurs with the engine at idle and warm.

ACTION

^ With the engine idling, check the fuel lines and fuel dampers while the noise is occurring.

^ Are the fuel dampers noisy and the noise matches what is heard inside the vehicle? If yes, replace both fuel dampers and 0-rings with the ones listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin.

NOTE:
If the noise does not come from the fuel dampers this bulletin does not apply.

^ See the FUEL INJECTOR AND FUEL TUBE section of the EM chapter in the applied Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for damper replacement instructions.

^ Once done, confirm the noise no longer happens.
