Body - Grease Streaks on Front Door Glass

ACTION:





Clean excessive grease from window regulator rails and affected areas (see Figure 1).

IMPORTANT:
The purpose of ACTIONS (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.





CLAIMS INFORMATION

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove the door finisher panel.

Refer to Section "EI", "DOOR PANEL Removal and Installation" in the applicable Service Manual.

2. Remove the affected window.

Refer to Section "GW", "FRONT DOOR GLASS AND REGULATOR Removal and Installation" in the applicable Service Manual.

3. Remove the inner door module assy. (black panel).

Refer to Section "GW", "FRONT DOOR GLASS AND REGULATOR Removal and Installation".

NOTE:
It is not necessary to remove the regulator from the inner door module assy.

4. Use a mild detergent or similar cleaning product to clean the following areas:

a. Waist molding (felt strip) on top inside edge of door finisher.

b. Black rubber bumpstop on top of forward regulator rail*.

c. Excess grease on regulator rails*.

d. Window surface.

5. Re-assemble the door.
